Written for educators in 2021, this document explores disability in relation to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), presents two models of disability, and discusses support needs, accommodations, and modifications for youth. It emphasizes the importance of considering intersectionality, historical oppression, and the need for tailored accommodations. Various examples of accommodations for different disabilities are also provided.
